The words we utter to ourselves, to and about others and anything else in between, have everything to do with our success or failure. I didn’t used to believe this. But think about it, if you call yourself stupid when you drop a glass and break it, or worry about not having money…stupid and not having money is what you’ll get.
There are a lot of people that don’t believe having abundance comes from believing that you already are living in abundance. It just seems, well, too easy or woo woo. But I know that it is as easy as that. And as difficult…
When we find ourselves complaining about anything, we are reinforcing the negative in our lives. There is a reason that the most successful people in the world say that having a positive visual in their mind’s eye of the dream and never giving up was key to their reaching the goal. Every single person we admire has said something very similar to this.
If this is true, why do so many of us continue doing what’s not working for us? Sometimes I think it’s because we have no patience to wait. Nothing we want happens ‘now’, but it is our expectation. We ride roughshod over every step to get to the finale. That was how I functioned my whole life, wondering when I would get what I really wanted. Until I changed my mindset, nothing I had said I wanted came true. Maybe I’m unlucky, I thought. Maybe there is some important thing I’m not doing…why does everyone else seem to be getting somewhere while I’m standing still? They were no more worthy than I was. In fact, there is no such thing as someone who is worthier to receive than me or you.
It was the words I used in my head and out loud, that held me back. Worrying about not having money, the right skill set, calling myself dumb or stupid or lazy…thinking, it won’t ever happen for me. I look at this now and it is no wonder I wasn’t getting anywhere.
Just wanting something in your life to come true isn’t enough. You must believe it is already true. If you say I don’t have any money then you aren’t doing a darn thing to change that state of affairs. The universe sees this as a reinforcement of no money…because no money doesn’t mean I want money.
We must wake up each morning and tell ourselves how abundant our lives are right now…how we are working every second to become whatever it is we dream…if we want love to come to us, we have to love ourselves and become the one we seek. We need to feel satisfied with where we are at right this minute and trust yourself and the universe that it is all unfolding as it should.
This thought process also attracts the right people, places and things to your doorstep…so whether that’s through negative thoughts or positive thoughts…you are attracting that energy into your life.
So, I would like to say that we are what we think. I challenge you to go out into the world today and say you are going to get what you want. You are not going to let anyone stand in your way. You will kindly tell people that they can believe what they want because you love a good nay-sayer…it motivates you to further your dreams. They had better move out of the way and allow your greatness to pass through and if they want a piece of the action they had better jump on board now because your passion train waits for no one. Drops mic…
Go out today and get a piece of the pie, my friends!
